Statement of Values and Code of Ethics

In June 2004, the International Association of Facilitators (IAF) adopted a Statement of Values and Code of Ethics. In March 2015, the IAF Board of Directors resolved that all IAF members, new and renewing, must affirm their commitment to abide by the IAF’s Statement of Values and Code of Ethics, a summary of which is provided in the sidebar.

Acceptance of IAF’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Use

The IAF collects information to manage your membership, confer its benefits, and enable the technical administration of the website. It also principally communicates with its members via email. The IAF records and stores your personal data in a secure database. Under no circumstances does the Association sell, rent or share its members’ information with other organization.

The submitted information will be stored on IAF servers for the purpose of maintaining your membership and delivering associated services. They will be accessible for the IAF office, board and IT personnel, as well as for connected services like the IAF Methods Database. If you selected one or more chapters, some of your data will also be accessible for chapter leads in order to contact you about local activities.

Permission to be listed in the IAF Member Directory

As a service to its membership, the IAF maintains a directory of its members, searchable by IAF region and chapter. The members directory is available only to IAF members and is published on the members-only section of the IAF website.

While members may use the directory to contact each other for professional networking, they may not use the information to send bulk emails or promotions to other members.
